Message as an R230. The 230mm refers to the diameter of the ring gear (roughly the same size as the Ford 9") and they are damn near bullet proof because of the size of the various components. The limited slip is a self contained viscous coupling (this is probably what BradZ was referring to) that consists of stacked clutches that are "activated" by fluid pressure and distribute power somewhat evenly to each wheel when a load is placed on the differential assembly. The stock ratio is 3.69 compared to the NA diff. which is 4.08. Hope that makes sense, Mark
